Terms of service
Effective October 17, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Frendivo Groups (“Frendivo,” “we,” “us”). Using Frendivo means you accept them.
1. Who can use Frendivo
- Frendivo is a service for people in the United States.
- You must be at least 13 years old to have an account, and at least 18 to start or own a group.
- You may not use Frendivo if we have closed your account before, or if U.S. law prohibits you from using it.
2. Your account
You sign in with one-time links sent to your email address, so keep control of that email account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Automated accounts and bots are not allowed.
3. Groups and their organizers
Every group is run by its owner and the moderators the owner appoints. They write the group's rules, decide who joins, and remove posts or members as they see fit. Frendivo does not moderate groups and is not responsible for organizers' decisions. If you disagree with how a group is run, you are free to leave it or start your own.
Organizers agree to run their groups in line with these terms, and are responsible for the rules they set and for whom they let in.
4. Your content
You own what you post. You give Frendivo a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy and display your content to the members of the group you posted it in, and to back it up, only as needed to run the service. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law (see section 6) and backups that age out on their own.
You're responsible for your content and for having the right to post it.
5. What is not allowed
Frendivo does not restrict speech for its viewpoint. Our free-speech promise is part of these terms. The only things you may not do are:
- post or share child sexual abuse material, or sexually exploit or solicit a minor in any way;
- make true threats of violence against a specific person;
- post material that a court has ordered removed;
- infringe copyright (see our DMCA policy);
- commit fraud, run scams, or sell illegal goods or services;
- send spam, run bots, distribute malware, or attack or overload the service; and
- otherwise use Frendivo for anything that is plainly illegal under U.S. law.
6. What we do about it
We may remove content, close accounts, or suspend groups that break section 5, and we report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as federal law requires. When we act, we tell the group's organizers what we did and why, unless the law forbids it. We respond to legal process as described in our law-enforcement guidelines, and we may keep content and records that are the subject of a legal hold or report for as long as the law requires.
7. Plans and payment
Groups of up to 10 members are free. Groups that share boards count their members together. Larger groups need a paid plan, priced by the number of members as shown on our home page and on each group's Plan & billing page. Members never pay; a group's owner or a moderator pays. Plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. The price and billing terms are shown before you pay, payments are processed by Stripe, and you can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancelling stops future charges, and the plan runs to the end of the period already paid for. Paid amounts are not refunded except where the law requires. If a payment fails and isn't fixed, the group returns to the free plan: nothing is deleted and nobody is removed, but no one new can join while it has more members than the free plan allows, and after 30 days it becomes read-only until the plan is renewed or the group is reduced to the free limit.
8. Ending your use
You can leave any group or close your account at any time from your account page. We may close accounts or suspend groups that break section 5. If we discontinue Frendivo, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email.
9. Disclaimers
Frendivo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Arrangements members make with each other, including sales, giveaways, loans and meetings, are entirely between them; we are not a party to them and are not responsible for them.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Frendivo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Frendivo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold Frendivo harmless from claims arising from your content or from your breach of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you and Frendivo consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Frendivo after that means you accept the new terms. We will not change the free-speech promise to allow viewpoint censorship.
